Babolat's latest update to the Aero Storm Tour features GT (Graphite Tungsten) technology, and it's received a makeover with a yellow paint job to match the rest of the Aero line. Like all the Aero racquets, its aerodynamic throat shape adds maneuverability when hitting slices and topspin because it cuts through the air much quicker than a standard, flatter throat shape. Compared to the AeroPro Drive, it has a smaller head size at 98 square inches and a thinner beam for more control. Compared to the Pure Storm, it has the same head size and beam width, but the Pure Storm has a more traditional throat shape. And compared to the Aero Storm GT, it's approximately an ounce heavier, making it a more stable, but less maneuverable alternative for heavy hitters with good anticipation and shot preparation.
Graphite Tungsten is a hybrid material combining braided carbon fibers and tungsten filaments. Strategically placed in various parts of the frame, it improves the control and feel of the classic Aero racquet line. Stability and spin is found in this frame, whether you are swinging with power and speed or taking a cut at the ball. This racquet is recommended for players 4.0+ level and higher.
